This role builds on prior Scope Technician experience, providing QA audits, data logs, supply coordination, scope repairs, loaner management, and mentoring for junior staff; requires two certifications, five years of experience, and a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years endoscopic instrument processing experience.
• Candidate must hold at least two certifications (Endoscope Reprocessing: CER/CFER or Sterile Processing: CRCST/CSPDT).

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect endoscopes and accessories using high-level disinfection.
• Maintain function and integrity of endoscopes and processing room equipment.
• Perform departmental quality assurance audits and document into the instrument management system.
• Track data logs, order supplies through the supply chain, coordinate repair of scopes and manage loaners with vendors.
• Serve as the primary preceptor for lower-level staff, providing guidance and training.
