Job summary

Salt & Straw is hiring for Ice Cream Scoopers in California. As a Scooper, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences, share flavor stories, scoop ice cream, and help run daily shop operations.

You’ll greet guests, answer questions, and process transactions with a friendly, team-oriented approach. Ideal candidates are 16+ years old, can work evenings/weekends/holidays, and enjoy engaging with customers.

Qualifications

• 16+ years old
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Comfort discussing flavors with guests
• Experience in food service preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create welcoming experiences for every guest
• Share flavor stories, offer samples, and help guests discover their next favorite scoop
• Scoop ice cream, make waffle cones, operate the register, and support daily shop operations
• Greet guests, answer questions, and guide the shop flow
• Process transactions and assist with online/delivery orders
• Restock ice cream and supplies; maintain cleanliness and organization
• Collaborate with teammates to create a positive work environment
