St. Labre Indian School is seeking an Academic Reading Intervention Specialist to support students from kindergarten through 4th grade with targeted reading and math skill development.

Academic Intervention Specialist works extensively with students, both one-on-one or in small groups, to help them strengthen targeted reading and math skills. The goal is for these students to develop proficiency in the reading skills that contribute to their academic growth. The interventions will address the specific needs of a particular child when regular classroom instruction is not sufficient. This position is responsible for working with students in kindergarten through 4th grade, as well as periodically coaching teachers and support staff in reading strategies that can be used in the classroom.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and one to three years related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Valid Montana Teaching Certificate or sufficient credits for state accreditation as a teacher with Reading Endorsement.
Valid Montana driver’s license preferred.
