Job summary

Webasto is offering an internship focused on Supply Chain and Operations in Plymouth-Detroit, MI. The role emphasizes hands-on exposure to multiple SCM and Operations functions while you are still enrolled in SCM-related studies.

You will develop skills in lean manufacturing, SAP, Excel, and Word, and participate in process improvements, time studies, and PFEP planning with guidance from mentors and managers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in SCM Management studies or related field.
• Warehouse experience with warehouse management software preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving/accounting procedures preferred.
• Positive attitude, eager to learn, and flexible in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to document results using SAP, Excel and Word; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to improve material movements from supplier, intracompany, and to the customer.
• Plan and execute SCM Material Handler time studies, line balancing, and process improvements.
• Develop PFEP plan, determine min/max quantities on production lines, and improve materials visualization.
• Provide weekly summary reports detailing daily tasks.
• Administrative support for the Supply Chain team.
