ElringKlinger South Carolina, LLC. in Easley, SC is seeking a Container Management professional responsible for overseeing container circulation, coordinating with production, customers and suppliers to ensure a steady empties supply.

You will monitor SAP-based inventory, verify postings, and support process improvements in packaging and logistics to reduce costs. The role focuses on accuracy, timely communications, and compliance with CU packaging specifications.

Responsibilities

• Calculating and validating the number of containers in internal and external circulation in order to optimise and configure the container circulation, and informing the BU, customer or supplier accordingly
• Ensuring the supply of empties at the site by planning the customer and supplier empties taking into account the requirements, inventory and the numbers in internal/external circulation
• Ordering containers/cardboard boxes correctly and on time in order to ensure the supply to Production and the deliveries to the customer
• Identifying and implementing process optimisation measures relating to empties in order to ensure continuous improvements, working in coordination with the Manager
• Analysing deviations from the process in Container Management and initiating the relevant measures or corrections
• Checking and comparing internal container accounts with the customer and supplier documents/accounts
• Ensuring compliance with the CU specifications governing the use of standardised packaging
• Physically checking the inventory in the warehouse at regular intervals and comparing the results with the inventory quantities in SAP
• Checking the container posting transactions in SAP, incl. maintaining and checking the relevant master data and SAP parameters
• Posting invoices (rental, transportation, cleaning), checking invoices, managing and reconciling accounts
• Comparing the customer portals with the internal inventory tracking data for empties in order to create transparency and reduce additional container costs
• Other duties, as assigned
