Job summary

ElringKlinger AG is seeking a warehouse/logistics professional to store, transport, and manage materials across our central warehouse and SAP-guided storage locations. You will perform forklift tasks, ensure FIFO compliance, log discrepancies in SAP, and participate in periodic counts.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to internal guidelines while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and timely material availability for production.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse logistics and inventory handling.
• Familiarity with SAP MM/WM modules and data logging.
• Ability to follow safety and environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Store and retrieve goods in central warehouse and guided locations to ensure timely supply for next steps.
• Transport items internally to production and dispose of materials per guidelines.
• Perform forklift tasks for tools and packaging as required.
• Record discrepancies in SAP and participate in inventory counts using defined methods.
• Ensure FIFO storage strategy and report errors to the manager.
• Contribute to continuous improvements within the area and follow internal specs.

Job description

• Storing goods in/removing them from the central warehouse or logistics-guided storage locations as specified, and ensuring they are provided on time for the next process step
• Transporting goods internally within the company to supply Production with, and dispose of, raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, empties and packaging material as specified by the CU/BU and plant
• Carrying out special transport tasks internally within the company using the forklift truck (e.g. tools)
• Implementing and complying with internal specifications governing material transfers between SAP MM and SAP WM-guided storage locations
• Correctly disposing of scrap as per (environmental) guidelines
• Logging any discrepancies in quantities in the system for goods returned to stock from Production by counting/weighing them
• Carrying out inventory checks and actively participating in the inventory count at logistics-guided storage locations using a defined methodology in SAP as well as the available resources
• Ensuring compliance with the storage strategy as per FIFO
• Checking goods from Production for any clearly identifiable damage, labelling errors or incorrect packaging
• Informing the Manager in the event of any errors or unclear process steps
• Actively participating in providing continuous improvements and solutions to problems within the assigned area, and initiating the relevant measures
• Other duties, as assigned
