Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Scientist to join the Viral Delivery Technologies group in Tarrytown, NY. You will design and validate antibody-retargeted AAV vectors through in vitro and in vivo studies, contributing to the expansion of our gene therapy delivery portfolio.

You'll apply molecular biology, sequencing, and data-analysis techniques, collaborate across teams, and present findings to drive vector optimization in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in NGS library prep, optimization, troubleshooting and QC.
• Strong molecular biology experience including DNA isolation and plasmid cloning.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and viral/polypeptide purification.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, analyze and troubleshoot in vitro and in vivo experiments to validate antibody-retargeted viral vector designs and screening protocols.
• Apply molecular biology and protein analysis techniques, including cloning, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT‑PCR, ddPCR, and qPCR.
• Design AAV genomes and execute recombinant AAV production protocols to inform vector optimizations.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot NGS library preparation workflows for screening and characterization.
• Partner with the bioinformatics team to analyze large NGS datasets.
• Prepare regular updates and presentations for team and departmental forums.
• Thrive in an innovative, highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Work rigorously with close attention to detail while balancing multiple projects.
