    Job Description:

    This position will be responsible for providing Technical Leadership Integration & Test during planning and testing for Space hardware electronic payloads to customer-funded program effort within our Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) business unit of L3Harris Corporation.

    Our intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions serve a broad array of government, civil and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability airborne and space-based remote sensing payloads that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth for a variety of commercial and governmental users.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides mastery-level system integration and test engineering expertise and technical leadership to a team during verification activities including functional, environmental qualification, and environmental production tests of Space equipment
    • Robust understanding of software and hardware verification plans, test procedures, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure system requirements are met
    • Lead in identify, document, track and evaluate test problem reports and test anomalies
    • Lead I&T engineer navigating thru company I&T processes and procedures
    • Lead requirements verification for components, subsystems, or systems
    • Lead Space hardware verification testing at acceptance, proto-flight and qualification levels for all relevant environments (vibration, thermal, vacuum)
    • Work with cross-discipline teams (mechanical, structural, thermal, power, RF, electrical, etc.) in the development and execution of detailed test plans and procedures
    • Work and interact with external customer and internal engineering and Program team

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
    • Active TS/SCI clearance
    • 5+ years of Experience with integration of Satellite Subsystems and electronics with Space Vehicle Bus
    • 5+ years of experience with Launch Vehicle Design, Integration, or Launch Operations

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Experience with all phases of the system Life-Cycle (design, analysis, manufacturing, test, verification/validation, and delivery) for space systems
    • Experience with Space Vehicle Bus and Flat Sats
    • Experience with Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) and/or Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) design for Large Space Vehicles
    • Experience interfacing directly with customers (both prime contractors and end customers) on resolving in-depth technical issues during the development and sell-off of space hardware
    • Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques
    • Team player, able to work in a fast program environment
    • Strong understanding of I&T development processes and life cycle
