Your Opportunity

We are hiring a senior Water Resources Engineer or Scientist to join our Water practice in California. Do you have a passion for innovative problem-solving, collaboration, and teaching? Do you enjoy working on cutting-edge projects on the west coast? If so, this is the opportunity for you.

In this role, you will:

• Manage projects such as stormwater, green infrastructure, water resource planning, and water quality studies.
• Share knowledge across Herrera’s Water practice on the west coast.
• Contribute to strategic business development in California.
• Mentor junior team members.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• 10+ years in stormwater management or quality.
• If an engineer, a PE license in California.
• Interest and success in business development.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Extensive project management experience in Southern California.
• Team builder and collaborator.
• Experience developing scopes of work and budgets.
• Strong proposal and business development skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in stormwater management/quality.

This is a remote position for candidates in the Los Angeles / Orange County region.
