Position Summary :
For our discovery proteomics group at Lilly Oncology in South San Francsico, we are looking for a new team member who is enthusiastic about performing discovery proteomics in spatially defined compartments of tissues and / or cultured cells.
This position presents an opportunity to work within a dynamic discovery research team dedicated to analyzing proteomic biology for genetically defined oncology targets. The ideal candidate is someone who is confident working with mass spectrometry techniques, enjoys technical and biological challenges and is familiar with sample preparation for proteomic analysis such as tissue preparation for protein characterization, biophysical experiments, laboratory automation and handling data analysis statistics of results.
The qualified candidate will have experience with basic chemistry / biology laboratory practices, is knowledgeable with mass spectrometry and other methods and passionate about working in a growing dynamic group focused on discovery oncology research.
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team of scientists with expertise in protein production, cell culture, chemistry, biochemistry, structure, and biophysics, supporting hit-to-lead and lead-ID phases of our oncology drug programs. The candidate will have opportunities to expand their knowledge of cutting-edge techniques, working with state-of-the-art instrumentation and to learn and further develop existing technical expertise in protein biochemical and biophysical characterization.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
69,000 - $154,000
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
