Overview

Kelly Science and Clinical is seeking talented PhD-Level Protein Design Scientists for future opportunities in the Greater Seattle area. Join our network and contribute to groundbreaking advancements by applying computational and experimental techniques to protein design and characterization. The role involves integrating computational design with wet lab experiments to develop innovative biotech solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Utilize computational tools to design proteins with specific properties.
2. Perform wet lab experiments including protein expression, purification, and characterization to validate computational hypotheses.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on experimental design for protein development.
4. Analyze data using statistical and bioinformatics methods to guide iterative design cycles.
5. Share findings through reports, publications, and presentations.
6. Stay updated on advancements in protein engineering and computational biology to improve methodologies.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field focused on protein design.
• Experience with computational protein modeling software such as Rosetta or PyMOL.
• Proficiency in experimental techniques like X-ray crystallography, NMR, cryo-EM, or mass spectrometry.
• Experience with expression systems such as E. coli, yeast, or mammalian cells.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for presenting complex information.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
