Job summary

Hansoh Bio, a U.S.-based biotech research subsidiary, is seeking a talented Scientist to join our discovery team. You will contribute to the development of novel therapeutics for cancer, immunological, and metabolic diseases with hands-on cell-based and biochemical assays.

Qualifications

• PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related field with 1–2 years of hands-on drug discovery lab experience.
• Proven ability to develop and optimize assays for potency, selectivity and mechanism of action.
• Experience with cell-based techniques including culture, engineering, functional assays, flow cytometry and ELISA/HTRF.

Responsibilities

About the Job

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Scientist to join our research team and contribute to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on the discovery and characterization of novel drug candidates for the treatment of cancer, immunological diseases, and metabolic diseases.

Candidates should have strong hands-on laboratory experience in the development, optimization, and implementation of in vitro cellular and immunological assays. The position will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and report directly to the Associate Principal Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform in vitro biochemical assay, cell-based assays as well as cell-based binding assays to drive project effectively using standard assay techniques such as alphaLISA/ELISA, HTRF, luminescence, microscopy, and flow cytometry.
• Culture and engineer cell lines and prepare reagents and test agents according to approved protocols.
• Exercise sound technical judgment to troubleshoot experiments and resolve technical issues.
• Review data, prepare reports, and communicate experimental results to the manager and in team meetings.
• Coordinate and execute assigned tasks while interacting with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all experimental procedures and data in an electronic laboratory notebook.

Qualifications

• PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline, with at least 1–2 years (PhD) of hands-on laboratory experience in drug discovery–related works
• Extensive experience in developing and optimizing assays to assess drug candidate potency, selectivity, and mechanism of action.
• Proficiency with cell-based techniques, including cell culture, cell line engineering, cell-based functional assays, flow cytometry, Western blotting, and AlphaLISA/ELISA/HTRF, is required.
• Experience with automated liquid-handling systems and high throughput assays is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure on-time delivery, with minimum supervision, is highly desired.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and clearly understand SOPs and laboratory procedures
• Detail-oriented, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
• Diligent, strong growth mindset with positive “can-do” attitude towards assigned tasks
• Good planning and organizing skills to meet project deadlines
