Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a preformulation<…> develop phase-appropriate analytical methods for multiple programs in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration across R&D, Pharmacology, and Technical Operations, with responsibilities spanning method development, developability assessments, and regulatory submissions. Strong LC-MS and OpenLab experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 4+ years pharma exp.
MS/MA in Chemistry etc. with 2+ years experience.
PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Chemical Engineering with relevant experience or postdoc.
Strong analytical method development and preformulation knowledge.
Experience with LC-MS highly preferred.
Familiarity with regulatory guidelines for INDs/CTAs/NDAs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with R&D and Technical Operations to share developmental data.
Design and develop phase-appropriate analytical methods for early development.
Conduct developability studies (solubility, stability, excipient compatibility).
Research new instrumentation to support development needs.
Review scientific reports and regulatory documentation.
Maintain information repositories for early development data and properties.
Present updates at dept. meetings and tech talks.
