Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Scientist II to lead kinase profiling and screening on the lab floor, optimizing workflow and resource allocation to hit tight turnaround times.

The role involves transfections, protein expression, data analysis, and cross-functional support within R&D and Safety Pharmacology, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology with 5+ years of experience, or Master's with 2+ years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and technical reports.
• Ability to analyze data and perform interpretations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead kinase screening and profiling group on the lab floor, driving execution and improvements.
• Coordinate staffing and resources with oversight of the Group Leader.
• Perform transfections, protein expression, and preparation of crude lysates from mammalian and bacterial cultures.
• Analyze screening results with regression analysis and data visualization tools (Spotfire, PRISM).
• Prepare reagents, conduct QC, and perform chemistry calculations as needed.
• Provide cell culture support to R&D and Safety Pharmacology as needed.
• Develop and optimize SOPs as part of continuous improvement.
• Comply with health and safety requirements.
