Job summary

Tonix Pharmaceuticals in Frederick, MD is seeking a Scientist II to support preclinical programs through in vitro and nonclinical assays. You will work on cell-based and biochemical assays, 3D culture systems, and translational models to evaluate therapeutic candidates.

You will collaborate across discovery and development, generate high-quality data, and document results to support program decisions and regulatory activities.

Qualifications

• PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience or MS with 4+ years.
• Hands-on pharma/biotech/CRO or academic research experience.
• Experience generating reproducible data and collaborating in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and execute in vitro cell-based and biochemical assays.
• Support DMPK/ADME assays and related screening.
• Develop 3D cell culture, spheroid, and organoid assays.
• Support nonclinical assays for efficacy, pharmacology, safety, mechanism.
• Design experiments, analyze data, document results, and report findings.
• Maintain mammalian cell culture systems for project needs.
• Apply molecular and biochemical methods and quantitative analysis.
