Qualifications

• BS or MS in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Physical Pharmacy, Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Material Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong theoretical background and practical background in formulation design and pharmaceutical technologies.
• Fundamental understanding of physicochemical and biopharmaceutical properties as related to formulation design.
• Technical awareness in various aspects of drug development and rigorous scientific method.
• Scientific problem solving, experimental design and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Independently design, execute and interpret critical experiments to answer scientific questions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute formulation feasibility, optimization, and supporting studies for project goals.
• Demonstrate proficiency in analytical techniques for physicochemical characterization of drug substances and products.
• Innovate and implement new experimental protocols based on scientific understanding.
• Interpret data and modify experimental plans as needed.
• Apply theoretical frameworks to solve formulation and development problems.
• Contribute to development reports, technical summaries, and supporting documents.
• Communicate formulation recommendations clearly in project team meetings.
• Collaborate with CMC functions to advance project execution.
• Execute biopharmaceutics assays for guiding formulation choice and derisking clinical products.
• Interface with drug product development teams to ensure biopharmaceutical considerations are incorporated into design.
• Collaborate to align strategies supporting discovery and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GLP, quality, and regulatory policies.
