Job Summary
The Scientist isresponsible for independentlyexecuting laboratory researchto support thedevelopmentof new therapeuticmodalities, including peptides, oligonucleotides, antibodies, viruses, and non-viral delivery systems. The role involvesdesigning and conductingexperiments, developingproduct and processknowledge, analyzing scientificdata, maintaining laboratoryoperations, and contributingto technical documentationwhile ensuringcompliance with regulatoryand company standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory studiessupporting the developmentof novel therapeuticmodalities.
- Design,perform, and troubleshootroutine and non-routine experiments independently.
- Build product andprocess knowledge throughexperimental research.
- Prepare buffers, mobilephases, and multi-component formulationsusing wet chemistrytechniques.
- Operate, maintain, andtroubleshoot laboratoryequipment.
- Perform analytical characterizationusing HPLC, SEC, AF4/FFF, and related chromatographytechniques.
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and present scientificdata with integrity.
- Presentresearch findings toproject teams anddepartmental meetings.
- Write and maintainprotocols, SOPs, technicalreports, and scientificdocumentation.
- Conductliterature reviews andapply scientific knowledgeto research activities.
- Support laboratory organization, reagent tracking, andinventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams tosupport project objectives.
- Ensure laboratory workcomplies with safety, regulatory, and companyquality standards.
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree with4+ years ofrelevant experience orBachelor's degree with5+ years ofrelevant experience.
- Plate assays and particle analysis experience is required
- Experience withwet chemistry techniques, including buffer, mobilephase, and formulationpreparation.
- Hands-on experiencewith chromatography techniquessuch as HPLC, SEC, and AF4/FFF.
- Ability to independentlydesign, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret laboratoryexperiments.
- Strong scientific dataanalysis, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills.
- Knowledge of laboratorysafety, regulatory requirements, and quality compliance.
- Preferred experience withNMR spectroscopy.
- Preferred experience withDynamic Light Scattering(DLS), FlowCam, or other particlesizing techniques.
- Preferred experience withfluorescent labeling, microscopy, and image analysis.
- Preferredexperience with DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, electrophoresis, and otherbiophysical characterizationtechniques.
