Job summary

Randstad USA in Ridgefield, CT is seeking a Scientist II for an on-site contract role to advance analytical drug development. You will execute critical lab work, design experiments, operate analytical instrumentation, and contribute to projects involving peptides, oligonucleotides, and antibodies.

The position requires hands-on HPLC, plate assays, particle analysis, and wet chemistry prep, with data interpretation and reporting to project teams.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 4+ years or Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant life sciences experience (No PhD candidates).
  • Hands-on expertise in HPLC, plate assays, particle analysis, and wet chemistry preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-level lab work and design experimental studies for novel therapeutic modalities and delivery systems.
  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory procedures, equipment maintenance, and method troubleshooting independently.
  • Utilize traditional chromatography methods, including HPLC, alongside wet chemistry buffer and formulation preparations.
  • Write detailed technical protocols, SOPs, and reports while maintaining continuous adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Collect, interpret, and present scientific findings directly to project teams and departmental stakeholders.
  • Oversee laboratory organization, reagent tracking, and routine maintenance of analytical instrumentation.
