Job summary

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is seeking a Scientist I, Analytics - Mass Spectrometry to provide and report analytical data for project contracts. You will support regulatory submissions, release and stability testing of dose forms, and development projects, while ensuring EH&S compliance.

The role focuses on routine LCMS/GCMS/ICP-MS analyses, method validation, and documentation. It requires strong data interpretation, communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in life sciences such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a closely related physical science.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree: 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Doctorate Degree: 0+ years of relevant experience
  • 3 years of prior LCMS experience.
  • Proactively address work issues at both an individual and team level.
  • Ability to process, maintain, and interpret data.
  • Understanding of instrument operations and troubleshooting skills in multiple techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Scientist I, Analytics - Mass Spectrometry to join our team. This role involves providing and reporting analytical data as required by project contracts within the Analytics Department. The data supports regulatory submissions, release and stability testing of clinical and animal trial dose forms, and development projects. The position also ensures compliance with divisional and site Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

Shift & Location

Shift: M-F 8am-4:30pm

Location: Kansas City, MO

100% Onsite

The Role
  • Perform routine sample analysis for release and stability using mass spectrometry (LCMS, GCMS, ICP-MS for small molecules).
