The position offers 100% onsite work in Kansas City, MO, with a Monday to Friday schedule and opportunities to lead projects and train others while identifying business opportunities on a project basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or physical science and 6+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to proactively address work issues at individual and team levels.
  • Strong ability to process, maintain, and interpret data.
  • Understanding of instrument operations and troubleshooting in multiple techniques.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute laboratory work plans and schedules using milestones and site standards.
  • Handle samples including in-process, release, or stability using HPLC, UV/Vis, Disintegration, and Dissolution with apparatus types 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6.
  • Perform method development, validation, and transfer activities.
  • Author protocols, test methods, reports, certificates of analysis, and SOPs.
  • Review technical documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Direct work of technical staff and assign tasks.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for an Analytics Scientist I to join our team. This role involves working on diverse projects with a focus on analytical techniques and laboratory operations. You will contribute to method development, validation, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with standards. This position offers the chance to take on technical responsibilities and collaborate with a skilled team.

Shift: Mon to Fri 8am-4:30pm

Location: Kansas City, MO

100% Onsite

The Role
  • Develop and execute laboratory work plans and schedules independently, using customer milestones and site performance standards
  • Handle sample types including in-process, release, or stability using techniques such as HPLC, UV/Vis, Disintegration, and Dissolution with apparatus types 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6
  • Perform method development, validation, and transfer activities
  • Author technical documents including protocols, test methods, reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures
  • Review technical documents for accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory compliance
  • Direct work of technical staff, including assigning tasks
  • Act as Technical Lead with responsibility for project outcomes and customer interaction
  • Execute efficiency improvement projects with guidance
  • Identify and recommend business opportunities on a project-specific basis
  • Train others on laboratory techniques
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related life science or physical science and 6+ years of related work experience
  • Ability to proactively address work issues at both individual and team levels
  • Strong ability to process, maintain, and interpret data
  • Understanding of instrument operations and troubleshooting skills in multiple techniques
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Preferred Skills & Background
  • Master's degree in a related life science or physical science field with 4+ years of related work experience preferred
  • Dissolution testing experience preferredPrevious experience with EMPOWER preferred
