Job summary

Planet Pharma in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Technical Product Support specialist to assist oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, and validation activities. Qualifications

• Working knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry and associated lab techniques is desirable.
• Experience with small-molecule chemistry or related wet lab techniques is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and data analysis skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for diagnostic products under guidance of senior team members.
• Assist in design and execution of experiments; perform testing on Analytical Chemistry instruments; analyze data and summarize results.
• Perform laboratory activities, including hands-on wet lab work supporting product testing, characterization, and development efforts.
• Support oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Learn and apply Quality System requirements, change control processes, and technical impact assessments.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional partners to investigate technical documentation and product-related issues.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and technical documentation in accordance with established procedures.

Job description

This position is part of the Technical Product Support team and will primarily support oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, and validation activities. The candidate will learn and apply the Quality System, document change control processes, and technical impact assessments, while working cross-functionally with scientists and engineers to investigate and resolve technical documentation and product-related issues.

A general understanding of organic chemistry principles and prior experience working in a wet lab environment is highly desirable. Experience with oligonucleotides, including synthesis, purification, analytical characterization, assay development, or related laboratory techniques, is preferred.

Duties:
