Frontage Laboratories Inc. (Frontage) is a global contract research organization with broad expertise in supporting pre-clinical and clinical drug development. Frontage operates out of several different locations within the USA, Canada, and China. Frontage’s core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist with experience in flow cytometry to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the execution and analysis of experiments related to cellular analysis with the guidance of the team lead. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge drug development in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize flow cytometry protocols for the detection and quantification of specific cellular markers and analytes.
2. Perform sample preparation, staining, data acquisition, and analysis using flow cytometry platforms.
3. Ensure adherence to quality control measures, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals, provide scientific expertise, and contribute to the development of new assays and methodologies.
5. Maintain accurate records of experiments, protocols, and results in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Participate in the training and supervision of junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Position Requirements:

1. BS or MS in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
2. Experience in the design, execution, and analysis of flow cytometry experiments, including multi-color panel design, compensation, and gating strategies.
3. Experience with cell-based assays and knowledge of cellular markers, surface antigens, and intracellular targets.
4. Hands-on experience with flow cytometry instrumentation (e.g., BD FACSCanto, FACSLyric, BC Navios, CytoFLEX, Cytek Aurora).
5. Data Analysis and template design for multiparameter flow cytometry panels using dedicated analysis platform (FlowJo, Kaluza, FCSExpress).
6. Experience in performing ligand binding assays, including assay optimization, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
7. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
