The candidate must be independent, goal oriented, technically competent, and able to work efficiently across multiple projects. We are searching for enthusiastic, innovative, and highly motivated individuals, with a scientific background in antibody-drug conjugates including the assembly, purification, and analysis of these molecules.

This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform chemical reactions to assemble antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates using various conjugation handles, linkers, and antibody formats (IgG, Fab, scFv, bispecific)
  • Utilize multiple strategies for stochastic and site‑specific conjugation
  • Optimize reactions and purification methods to improve yields and efficiency ranging from mg to gram scale
  • Independently troubleshoot conjugation reactions for improved yields and processes
  • Analyze conjugates using all relevant techniques (IEX, HIC, SEC, SDS‑PAGE, mass spec, UV‑Vis)
  • Understanding of antibody design and cloning is nice to have
  • Understanding of antibody ligand/target validation using BLI and SPR for kinetic analysis is nice to have
  • Drive automation for high‑throughput conjugation at various scales
  • Work closely with biology teams to plan studies and generate materials on time for multiple projects
  • Proper electronic notebook record keeping with high attention to detail
  • Communication of experimental plans and data to multiple cross‑functional scientific teams
  • Work closely with biologists, chemists, and pharmacologists to contribute to the strategic direction of research programs across multiple therapeutic modalities
Qualifications
  • The candidate should have a PhD degree with 0‑3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of antibody conjugation chemistries with both stochastic and site‑specific techniques
  • Strong understanding of modern ADC chemistry and linker design highly preferred

  • 0‑2 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience is preferred
  • Experience with Agilent and AKTA software
  • Experience with recombinant protein analysis (affinity, size exclusion, reverse phase, hydrophobic interaction, ion exchange chromatography, SDS‑PAGE, and UV‑VIS spectroscopy)
  • Experience with SPR and/or Octet binding experiments is nice to have
  • Passionate about driving his or her projects to independently contribute to research directions and solve challenging issues
  • Detail oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable working with highly technical projects
