Job summary

Medial Group in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, seeks a Scientist 2-Biology/Microbiology (3rd Shift) to design, conduct and interpret biological experiments for development programs. The role provides biological scientific support to technology and product development, reviewing summaries and guiding potential business applications.

Duties include environmental monitoring, biomarker identification, endotoxin and bioburden testing, data interpretation, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of parenteral product experience in a regulated industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Science.
• Willing to work 100% on-site in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, on 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct and interpret biological experiments to support development programs.
• Perform environmental monitoring and lab assays for development work.

Scientist 2-Biology/Microbiology (3rd Shift)

Designs, conducts and interprets biological experiments to supportdevelopment programs and identifies biological pathways and agent.Provides biological scientific support to technology and productdevelopment. Reviews scientific and technical summaries, and providesrecommendations for potential business applications.

Duties &Responsibilities: Performs detailed environmental monitoring, lab assaysand biomarker identification and development. Utilizes state-of-the-artknowledge to perform tasks. Performs biological indicator, growthpromotion, endotoxin, and bioburden testing, and microbialidentifications. Summarizes and conducts preliminary datainterpretation, maintains accurate documentation and timely reporting;gives scientific input based on current literature, and assists inwriting abstracts and manuscripts. Utilizes computer software packages;performs literature searches, data entry. Operates and maintainslaboratory equipment, operates analytical and other instrumentsconsidered standard for area of expertise. Prepares standards, reagentsand controls according to established procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in the Parenteral area in the regulated industry. Bachelor degree completed in Science. Willing to work 100% on-site in Gurabo in a 3rd shift.
