Medial Group in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, is hiring a Laboratory Scientist to conduct biological and microbiological testing, including environmental monitoring and biomarker development. You will maintain accurate GLP/GMP compliant records and present data findings to internal teams.

The candidate will have a bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, or biochemistry and 2–4 years of related lab experience, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct biological and microbiological testing, including environmental monitoring, bioburden, endotoxin, growth promotion, and biological indicator studies.
• Perform biomarker identification and development using established and innovative laboratory techniques.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with GLP/GMP standards.
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize experimental data; prepare and present scientific findings to internal teams.
• Prepare standards, reagents, and controls according to established protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical and laboratory instruments.
• Perform literature reviews, statistical analyses, and utilize software for data interpretation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and laboratory best practices.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum 2-4 years of laboratory experience in biological or microbiological testing within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environment.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and technical laboratory skills.
