The Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences team is a formulation team embedded within drug discovery in the Client Research Laboratories. Our group profiles molecules, biologics, and small molecules, conducting key pre-formulation studies to develop formulation strategies supporting candidate selection and clinical development.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support an experienced discovery formulation sciences team in profiling and formulating discovery molecules. Responsibilities include handling chemical compounds, preparing small and large molecule samples using manual and liquid handling robotics, and utilizing analytical methods such as HPLC, HPSEC, spectrophotometry, among others. Results are documented in electronic notebooks.
Typical daily tasks include preparing formulation components and molecules for stability and performance testing, primarily using HPLC-based techniques (HPLC-UV, HPLC-SEC-RI), electrophoresis, thermal, and X-ray analysis to characterize small molecules and biologics. Results are recorded electronically and communicated to team members to support project decisions. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with data playing a crucial role in lab decision-making.
