We are horizontal connectors empowering teams across the Experiences organization with strategic prioritization, investments, resources, data, insights, and technology to accelerate business outcomes in service of our goals.

We want you to join us. We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist for our CXO Data & Analytics team in Austin, Toronto, or Montreal, reporting to the Director of Decision & Data Science. This is an individual contributor role with no managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify, source, examine, clean, visualize, and prepare datasets for analysis.
  2. Model datasets and perform model fit tests.
  3. Build relationships with Product Managers and partners to identify and pursue Data Science opportunities.
  4. Communicate modeling results in business-friendly language through presentations.
  5. Deploy models into AWS SageMaker and coordinate data feeds with IT for inference production.
  6. Collaborate with UX designers on how model results are displayed in applications.
  7. Monitor model accuracy over time, detect drift, and retrain models as needed.
  8. Report on model performance periodically.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Data Science, with some NLP experience.
  • Master's in Statistics, Operations Research, or related field (consider Bachelor's with relevant experience).
  • Proven ability to break down large projects and execute effectively.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in R or Python.
  • Experience with SQL and relational/distributed databases.

Job-specific Skills

  • Expert in data ingestion, feature extraction, sampling, and dimensionality reduction techniques.
  • Proficient in Exploratory Data Analysis and data quality assessment.
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and modeling techniques.
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning models; familiarity with NLP concepts is a bonus.
  • Experience with model lifecycle management in AWS SageMaker is a bonus.
