Top 3 skills required in a candidate:

  1. Buffer/reagent preparation, membrane solution preparation, and preparing test solutions.
  2. Perform all activities in accordance with GMP requirements and established safety procedures.
  3. Perform basic mathematical calculations and data manipulations, which may require the use of a computer or calculator.

Primary duties are to perform routine laboratory procedures such as:

  1. Buffer/reagent preparation, membrane solution preparation, and preparing test solutions.
  2. Perform basic mathematical calculations and data manipulations, which may require the use of a computer or calculator.
  3. Maintain complete and accurate documentation regarding routers, labels, and inventory.
  4. Maintain laboratory in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
  5. Order and maintain laboratory supplies. Ensure maintenance and calibration of all equipment prior to use.
  6. Utilize quality concepts and tools in the performance of daily activities.
  7. May perform laboratory experiments under close supervision.
  8. May perform solution tests using specialized equipment per established manufacturing procedures.

Minimum requirements:

  1. Must have knowledge in general laboratory techniques such as filtration, glassware washing, micro-pipetting, pipetting, reagent preparation, and weighing.
  2. Experience with handling chemicals.
  3. No chemical allergies or sensitivities.
  4. Good eyesight, very good manual dexterity, and attention to details required.
  5. Overtime may be required.

Education and Experience:

  1. Position requires AS or equivalent work experience in chemistry or other life science.
  2. GMP experience or previous training required.
  3. Experience at a medical device assembly firm or in a clinical laboratory preferred.
  4. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  5. Must be able to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
