Job summary

Axle is seeking a Scientific Program Analyst to support NIH/NINDS, focusing on developing and updating extramural research policies, resources, and training materials. You will draft and publish SOPs for extramural operations and coordinate with NINDS staff to ensure materials meet scientific and policy needs.

The role requires a Master’s degree with strong writing, plain-language skills, and experience with intranet content development, NIH grants knowledge, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; Certifications not critical.
• Experience writing and editing SOPs or policy documents.
• Ability to develop and publish intranet content and training materials.
• Knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms preferred.
• Strong writing and plain-language communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain intranet content and databases (e.g., SharePoint).
• Coordinate meetings and training sessions; track issues and action items.
• Prepare SOPs and guidance for Research Operations.
• Review workflows and recommend improvements for extramural activities.
• Read, interpret, and condense material for presentations.
• Prepare and deliver formal presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide progress reports to sponsor and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Communications to meet outreach goals.
