Job summary

STERIS - Operations is seeking a mold and process technician to own mold setups, launch machines to validated parameters, and serve as a go-to partner for scientific molding development. You will lead the qualification and validation activities, mentor technicians, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The role requires 3–5 years of injection molding setup/processing experience, strong communication skills, and a data-driven approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma.
• 3–5 years of injection molding setup and processing experience.
• Proficiency in scientific injection molding process development.
• Experience with material sourcing, equipment, and information supporting Molding and Extrusion.
• Strong written and verbal communication; timely execution; able to work independently to meet goals.
• Integrity and professionalism in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Launch production by setting molds and starting molding equipment to validated parameters.
• Troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement events.
• Mentor Mold Setters and production process technicians on scientific molding and validation discipline.
• Execute protocols (IQ, OQ, and PG) and assist with qualification testing on equipment and fixtures.
• Maintain a clean, organized workplace; enforce 6S and LEAN; support safety policies.
• Submit Toolroom Work Requests for repairs and PMs.
