Job summary

ICON Clinical Research is seeking a Scientific Lead in Inflammation/Immunology for Global Medical Communications. The role focuses on high‑level scientific writing, content development, and project oversight across remote locations in NY/NJ/PA/DE for client delivery.

You will mentor junior writers, ensure quality, and contribute strategic insights while partnering with account leaders to meet timelines and client objectives.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required; PhD preferred; MD/PharmD may be considered.
• Minimum 4+ years in high-level content development and management in medical communications.
• 3+ years as a Senior Medical Writer is strongly preferred.
• CMPP/MAPPS certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with ICMJE and GPP guidelines; ability to review scientific content.

Responsibilities

• Oversee writing quality and review work of junior medical writers.
• Provide strategic scientific insights for assigned projects.
• Ensure timely delivery by coordinating with account managers and timelines.
• Mentor and onboard new writers and review manuscripts.
• Support new business proposals and opportunities with scientific input.
