Job Overview: The Scientific Director will lead and oversee the research programs, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals. This role involves setting research objectives, managing a team of scientists, and liaising with key stakeholders to drive scientific excellence.
MUST HAVE CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) EXPERIENCE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement research strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Team Management: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of researchers and scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Research Oversight: Oversee all phases of research projects, from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with sponsors, key personnel, and external partners to secure funding and support for research initiatives.
- Scientific Communication: Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and other public forums, presenting research findings and building relationships with the scientific community.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all research activities comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:- PhD in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in scientific research, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successful research project management and publication.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Minimum of 1-2 Years of experience in CME.
- Open to therapeutic category but could be working across oncology, infectious disease, dermatology, and/or ophthalmology.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in securing research funding and grants.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in scientific research.
- Strong network within the scientific community.
