Job summary

Doist in Florida is seeking a ScienceLogic SME to configure and optimize monitoring across VMware, VCF, vCenter, wireless controllers and access points, guiding deployment and stabilization of the platform.

You will develop runbooks, tune alerts and thresholds to reduce false positives, optimize performance, availability and capacity monitoring, and support downstream integrations with ServiceNow and Splunk to streamline operations and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize ScienceLogic monitoring for VMware, VCF, vCenter, wireless controllers, and access points.
• Implement client-defined monitoring policies, thresholds, and alerting standards.
• Develop and maintain Dynamic Applications, event policies, and monitoring templates.
• Configure performance, availability, capacity, and health monitoring for supported infrastructure platforms.
• Tune alerts and thresholds to reduce false positives and improve operational effectiveness.
• Implement event enrichment and monitoring metadata required for downstream integrations.
• Support integration with ServiceNow and Splunk for event forwarding and operational workflows.
• Execute monitoring validation, testing, and remediation activities during deployment.
• Create operational runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Provide ongoing monitoring optimization and platform support during rollout and stabilization.
