Job summary

Williams College seeks a Research and Instruction Librarian liaison for the natural sciences to join the Research Services team. You will teach information literacy, support faculty, and engage with students in a small, collaborative academic setting.

The successful candidate will advance critical librarianship, contribute to discipline-specific resources, and participate in college communities. This full-time, on-site role offers limited remote work and strong professional development

Qualifications

• Master’s in Library Information Science (ALA-accredited).
• Ability to complete the LIS degree within 6 months of hire.
• At least one year of experience teaching information literacy or related research tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with faculty, students, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach information literacy and course-related instruction sessions.
• Support science faculty with research methods and resources.
• Develop discipline-specific library resources and collections.
• Participate in college science community and research services activities.
• Provide reference services and teach workshops.
