Job summary

Williams College seeks a Research and Instruction Librarian liaison for the natural sciences to join the Research Services team. The successful candidate will teach information literacy, support science students and faculty, and participate in library outreach and collections development.

The role is full-time, on-site with up to one remote day per week, offering professional development and a supportive environment in a small, relationship-driven academic setting.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience required in teaching information literacy or equivalent.
• Ability to teach research tools and information literacy.
• Commitment to information ethics, justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Support students and faculty by guiding research methods and resources.
• Teach course-related instruction sessions.
• Support faculty research and publishing activities.
• Raise awareness of discipline-specific library resources.
• Develop library collections in the natural sciences.
• Participate in Williams College science community.
• Provide general reference service through Ask A Librarian.
• Teach co-curricular workshops and participate in outreach.
