Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks mentors for the Beginning Teacher Mentorship program in West Virginia. Mentors support beginning teachers, with semester‑to‑semester placements in the same school, subject, or grade level as the mentee.

This contract/hourly role pays $300 per mentor per semester. Candidates must complete the WV DOE mentor training before the end of the mentorship or hold the Master Mentor Teacher Advanced Credential.

Qualifications

• Preference for teachers at the same school, teaching the same or similar subject and grade level as the beginning teacher.
• Mentor training must be completed prior to or during the first semester of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Mentor will be assigned on a semester-to-semester basis.
• Supports beginning teachers for a year-long mentorship (semesters).
