Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion in a related engineering or related scientific discipline, or five years of equivalent work experience.
• Experience applying complex scientific and engineering principles to perform technical services.
• Experience with data analysis and development of prototypes, equipment, and systems.
• Ability to write clear documentation and manage research protocols.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical research utilizing experimental equipment and data analysis; develop plans and designs.
• Provide leadership overseeing technicians and support staff in daily work.
• Liaise between researchers, students, staff, and vendors; provide training and guidance.
• Analyze requirements and oversee experimental processes; design prototypes and systems.
• Manage, repair, and troubleshoot complex equipment and systems.
• Prepare drawings, material lists, and engineering change requests.
• Coordinate installations; plan, schedule, and supervise equipment operations.
• Acquire and maintain tools and equipment for projects.
