Job summary

The Greensboro Science Center is seeking an Education Instructor to present a wide variety of science programs to school groups and the public. The role is a year-round, part-time position with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and 25–28 hours per week.

• Minimum requirements include a two-year degree, preferably four-year, in education or science.
• Experience working in an instructional capacity (classroom or informal).
• Strong passion for teaching with excellent public communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and present programs for school groups and informal audiences.
• Support education events and outreach activities.
• Present programs in various settings to groups of different sizes.
• Safely handle and present small animals and science equipment following training.
