Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach on-campus physics/physical science courses for an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. The role emphasizes engaging instruction, effective assessment, and alignment with common syllabi.
The candidate will deliver classes, develop/maintain syllabi and materials, and maintain accurate student records, utilizing technology to enhance learning while complying with FERPA and college policies.
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided. This position will be teaching on-campus classes.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction. Conducts all activities with appreciation and respect for varying ideas and perspectives.
A qualified faculty member in physics meets the discipline standard through one of two routes:
A qualified faculty member in physical science possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with 18 graduate semester hours in the physical sciences.
