Total Education Solutions is hiring School Van Drivers in South Pasadena, CA. This full-time role involves transporting students, maintaining safety, and supporting a mission-driven team focused on helping students thrive.

TES sponsors First Aid/CPR training and offers mentorship, growth, and comprehensive benefits. Eligible candidates should have a valid Class C license, be able to lift 50 pounds, pass a FBI/DOJ background check, and complete a TB test within 2 months.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR training (TES sponsors).
• Valid Class C license with experience required.
• DL 51 medical card will be required.
• 2 points or less on DMV H6 printout (provide if hired).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must clear FBI/DOJ background check and provide a TB test within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive and pick up students, clients, and occasionally parents.
• Maintain and update route sheets with directions.
• Monitor and maintain order among students on the van.
• Complete daily van safety checks.
• Check and add fuel, oil, and water as needed.
• Ensure the van is safe to operate.
• Submit mechanical defect reports as needed.
• Attend driver safety meetings.

Driver

$19 - $22.09/hr* *Salary range is contingent upon relatable experience, credentialing/certification, education, and use of a second language in your role (50% of the time).

Expectations:

• drive and picks up students, clients, and occasionally parents.
• maintain and update route sheets, including left & rights (directions).
• monitor and maintain order among the students on the school van following school policies.
• complete daily van safety checks.
• check and add fuel, oil, and water as needed.
• ensure the van is maintained in a safe operating condition.
• submit reports on mechanical defects and other reports as assigned.
• attends driver safety meetings.
• use good judgment concerning laws, policies, and rules while operating their assigned vehicle.
• actively maintains safe driving practices and emergency van evacuation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Access to a mobile phone (for email) & basic internet (if working offsite)
• Valid Class C license with experience
• DL 51 medical card will be required
• willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR training (we sponsor)
• 2 points or less on a Department of Motor Vehicles H6 printout (must provide if hired)
• ability to lift 50 pounds
• must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ
• a current TB Test (within the last 2 months)
