Job summary

Le Sueur-Henderson Public Schools is seeking van drivers to help transport students to and from school safely as part of the district's transportation team.

As a district-employed driver, you will follow federal, state, and district guidelines, monitor student behavior, and may participate in the district's alcohol and drug testing program; compensation is $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age.
• Valid Minnesota driver's license (Minimum of Class B).
• Successful criminal background check.
• Medical clearance in the form of a DOT Medical Card. (District would help obtain)
• Ability to work effectively with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport students by van.
• Follow guidelines set forth by the Federal, State, and School District regarding pupil transportation.
• Provide safe transportation to and from school or other events.
• Monitor children to support district-wide behavioral expectations.
• Inform district staff about any behavior problems or medical need a student might have.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
• Submit to school district’s alcohol and drug testing program.
• Comply with all Federal and State regulations in regard to pupil transportation.

As a driver, you'll play an important role in helping our students get to and from school safely while becoming a valued member of our transportation team.

You'd be driving for the local school district - not a for-profit contractor. As a district-employed driver, your time and effort directly support our students and our schools.

Van drivers are paid at a rate of $26.00 per hour.
