Job summary

Le Sueur-Henderson Public Schools is seeking to hire drivers to transport students by van or bus.

Training is provided, and you will be paid for your time while you complete it. As a district employee, your work directly supports our students and schools and you’ll help ensure safe, reliable transportation.

AM & PM routes include per-route or per-day pay, with additional pay for extra routes or daytime time. Join our transportation team today.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid Minnesota driver's license (Minimum of Class B).
• Commercial Vehicle Certification with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Successful criminal background check.
• Medical clearance in the form of a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to work effectively with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport students by van or bus.
• Follow guidelines set forth by the Federal, State, and School District regarding pupil transportation.
• Provide safe transportation to and from school or other events.
• Monitor children to support district-wide behavioral expectations.
• Inform district staff about any behavior problems or medical need a student might have.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
• Submit to school district’s alcohol and drug testing program.
• Comply with all Federal and State regulations in regard to pupil transportation.

Drive for Le Sueur-Henderson Public Schools!

Interested in becoming a school bus or van driver but don't have the required certifications yet? We'll help you get there.

Le Sueur-Henderson Public Schools is willing to provide the required training and pay you for your time while you complete it. You don't need to come to us with all of the certifications—we can help you through the process of becoming a qualified school bus or van driver.

You'd be driving for the local school district - not a for-profit contractor. As a district-employed driver, your time and effort directly support our students and our schools.

As a driver, you'll play an important role in helping our students get to and from school safely while becoming a valued member of our transportation team.

Our AM & PM route drivers receive $45 per route or $90 per daily. Additional route time for day time activities or additional routes to be paid at an additional $30 per hour.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Over 18 years of age
• Possess a valid Minnesota drivers license (Minimum of Class B)
