Job summary

Butler’s Bus Service in Hartford, VT is seeking a Part‑Time School Van Driver. You will safely transport students to and from school and events, assist with boarding, and ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness. This role involves driving on assigned routes with training provided for the School Pupil Transport Certificate.

A clean driving record and English communication are required. We offer a part‑time schedule (split AM/PM), weekdays only with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Certificate or willingness to obtain (training provided)
• Safe driving record required
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, & 7D physical
• Effective communication in English (spoken & written)

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• Assist students entering/exiting vehicle and use safety equipment as needed
• Drive assigned routes and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and document any issues
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
