Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a School Van Driver to transport students to and from the Elk Grove area with a focus on safety and reliable operation. The role includes supervising students, completing daily logs, and assisting with errands and special transport needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience driving passengers.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check, TB clearance, 5-panel drug screening, and DOT Physical.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read maps or GPS.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles safely, adhering to driving laws and safety protocols.
• Supervise students during transportation to and from school to ensure safety and security.
• Complete daily logs, including van attendance, behavioral logs, 1:1 logs, and fuel purchases.
• Follow safety procedures for loading/unloading students and secure wheelchairs or scooters as needed.
• Run program errands, including package deliveries, late runs, and transporting students to workability events or other appointments.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness and functionality; report maintenance issues.
