Job summary

Point Quest, Inc. is hiring Van Riders in El Dorado Hills to support students with special needs during transportation to and from school.

As a Rider, you accompany students on assigned routes, ensuring safety and a structured, supportive environment while collaborating with the driver and school staff. This full-time role requires a high school diploma, background clearance, and certifications such as CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• Background clearance (DOJ/FBI) and TB clearance required.
• CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students during transportation to and from school.
• Assist students with loading and unloading procedures safely.
• Provide behavioral redirection and encouragement as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and structured transportation environment.
• Monitor attendance and complete required documentation.
• Follow transportation safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Communicate concerns/incidents to supervisors and school staff.
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs during transit.
• Implement IEP/BIP plans and provide one-on-one support as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and clinical staff to support daily routines.
