Job summary

Point Quest Group in Sacramento, CA is hiring school bus drivers to provide safe transportation for students in a school-based setting. You will help students access educational programs while maintaining vehicle safety and compliance.

Shift times are 4:00 AM–9:00 AM and 1:30 PM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with a split shift. This full-time role offers medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k), plus paid sick leave and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
• Experience working with students in school settings.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and follow maps or GPS directions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate school vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Monitor and supervise students during transportation to ensure a safe environment.
• Follow loading/unloading procedures and wheelchair securement when needed.
• Complete daily logs including attendance, behavior reports, and fuel tracking.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Transport students to and from school and related activities.
• Run program-related errands and use GPS/maps to ensure timely routes.

About the Role:

Provide safe and reliable transportation for students in a school-based setting. This role is responsible for ensuring student safety during transit, maintaining vehicle compliance, and supporting students with diverse learning, social, and behavioral needs. You will play a key role in helping students access their educational programs and activities.

Willing to work a split shift.

1stShift- 4AM/5:30AM-9AM;2nd Shift1:30PM-6P

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate school vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Monitor and supervise students during transportation to ensure a safe environment
• Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading, and securing students, including wheelchair securement when needed
• Complete daily logs including attendance, behavior reports, and fuel tracking
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Transport students to and from school, appointments, and school-related activities
• Run program-related errands such as package deliveries or additional route needs
• Utilize GPS or maps to ensure efficient and timely routes
