Job summary

Katy ISD Transportation in Houston, TX is seeking a Router Assistant to support routing data and create efficient routes. You will help minimize travel time, maximize ridership, and provide safe on-time transportation to students.

Reports to the Routing Manager and works 238 days a year with 8 hours per day. Qualifications include a Texas CDL with P and S endorsements (preferred), a HS diploma or GED, and being at least 18.

Qualifications

• Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (preferred).
• College hours, high school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate routing system software proficiently.
• Check current routes and modify for conditions.
• Assist in providing routes for new schools.
• Enter street plats and address ranges.
• Help prepare state reimbursement reports.
• Discuss bus routes and stops with patrons and schools.
• Safely operate Katy ISD school bus per policies and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
