Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance, including school buses.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs.
• Must be able to read work orders and follow directions; physically capable of demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses minor and frequent mechanical problems.
• Rotates, aligns and balances wheels; installs shocks.
• Repairs body parts; tests electrical systems and components.
• Removes and reassembles transmissions and engine parts; performs general maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
