Job summary

West Stanly Middle School, part of Stanly County Schools, is hiring a Bus Driver for a full-time, 10-month schedule. The driver will operate a school bus, transport students to and from school and activities, and perform related duties with supervision from the Transportation Route Coordinator/Director of Transportation.

Starting immediately, candidates must have a valid NC CDL with P and S endorsements, be at least 18 years old, and possess a high school diploma or GED plus at least 6 months of

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience as licensed operator.
• Valid NC Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and bus endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip bus inspections.
• Transport students to and from school and events.
• Keep bus clean and maintain order aboard.
• Fuels the bus as needed and follows safety regulations.
• Record mileage and maintain related documents.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
