Job summary

Shawnee Public Schools seeks a Transportation Supervisor to manage dispatching, driver assignments, attendance, and routing in the Transportation Building. The role requires CDL development and strong supervision of vehicle operators and aides.

You will oversee route coverage, maintain records, and use routing software; interact with district personnel and the public to ensure safe, timely transportation services.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Oklahoma Driver's License and acceptable driving record; will need Class B CDL with air brake, passenger and school bus endorsements.
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor degree preferred but not required.
• 3 years of related transportation experience required.
• Knowledge of transportation software and basic office computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch buses to routes and emergencies; arrange substitutes as needed.
• Maintain daily attendance roster of drivers and monitors.
• Build cordial relationships with drivers, monitors and district staff.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of driver/monitor operations and district roads.
• Ensure accurate time reporting on daily reports by drivers/monitors.
• Communicate with staff to ensure timely bus dispatch and updates.
